- Claim:
1. A method of operating a gaming system comprising a housing comprising an openable access door, a security monitoring circuit within the housing and configured to monitor the access door, a power distribution component within the housing, a plurality of mechanical input devices supported by the housing, a plurality of output devices comprising a display device supported by the housing and a speaker supported by the housing, a touch screen supported by the housing and associated with the display device, a sound card within the housing and operable with the speaker, a processor within the housing, and a trusted memory device within the housing, said method comprising: causing a display, via the display device, of a plurality of keno cards each comprising a plurality of spots; causing a display, via the display device, for each of the plurality of keno cards, of an indication of a plurality of player spots selected from the plurality of spots of that keno card, the quantity of player spots selectable via the touch screen; causing a display, via the display device, of a plurality of drawn spot indicators that each indicate one of the spots on each of the keno cards; causing a display, via the display device, of a triggering event occurring; causing a display, via the display device, of an extra spot indicator and a first activator on a first spot of the plurality of spots of the plurality of keno cards; causing a display, via the display device, of a movement of the extra spot indicator from the first spot to a second spot of one of the plurality of the keno cards determined based on the first activator; and causing a display, via the display device, for each keno card, of an indication of a quantity of the player spots of that keno card that match any of the drawn spot indicators and an indication of any spots on that keno card that are indicated by the extra spot indicator regardless of whether any of those spots are player spots.

2. The method of claim 1, which comprises causing a display, via the display device, of the first activator directing the extra spot indicator from the first spot to the second spot.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the first spot and the second spot are on a same one of the plurality of keno cards.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the first spot and the second spot are on different ones of the plurality of keno cards.

5. The method of claim 1, which comprises causing a display, via the display device, of the extra spot indicator and a second activator on the second spot.

6. The method of claim 5, which comprises causing a display, via the display device, of a movement of the extra spot indicator from the second spot to a third spot of one of the plurality of the keno cards determined based on the second activator.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the second spot and the third spot are on a same one of the plurality of keno cards.

8. The method of claim 6, wherein the second spot and the third spot are on different ones of the plurality of keno cards.

9. The method of claim 6, wherein the first spot and the third spot are on a same one of the plurality of keno cards.

10. The method of claim 6, which comprises causing a display, via the display device, of an indication of no further movement of the extra spot indicator from the third spot because no activator is associated with the third spot.

The method of claim 1, which comprises, responsive to a physical item being received via a payment acceptor, establishing a credit balance based on a monetary value associated with the received physical item, and responsive to a cashout input being received, initiating a payout associated with the credit balance.

A method of operating a gaming system comprising a housing comprising an openable access door, a security monitoring circuit within the housing and configured to monitor the access door, a power distribution component within the housing, a plurality of mechanical input devices supported by the housing, a plurality of output devices comprising a display device supported by the housing and a speaker supported by the housing, a touch screen supported by the housing and associated with the display device, a sound card within the housing and operable with the speaker, a processor within the housing, and a trusted memory device within the housing, said method comprising: causing a display, via the display device, of a plurality of keno cards each comprising a plurality of spots; causing a display, via the display device, for each of the plurality of keno cards, of an indication of a plurality of player spots selected from the plurality of spots of that keno card, the quantity of player spots selectable via the touch screen; causing a display, via the display device, of a plurality of drawn spot indicators that each indicate one of the spots on each of the keno cards; causing a display, via the display device, of a triggering event occurring; causing a display, via the display device, of a plurality of activators respectfully associated with a first plurality of spots of the plurality of keno cards; causing a display, via the display device, of an extra spot indicator sequentially associated with each the plurality of activators and the first plurality of spots; and causing a display, via the display device, for each keno card, of an indication of a quantity of the player spots of that keno card that match any of the drawn spot indicators and an indication of any spots on that keno card that are indicated by the extra spot indicator regardless of whether any of those spots are player spots.
- Claim:
13. The method of claim 12, which comprises causing a display, via the display device, of the each of a plurality of activators directing the extra spot indicator from the spot associated with that activator to another spot associated with another one of the activators.

14. The method of claim 13, which comprises causing a display, via the display device, of a last one of the plurality of activators directing the extra spot indicator from the spot associated with that activator to another spot associated with no activator.
- Claim:
15. The method of claim 12, wherein the plurality of activators comprise at least one activator on at least one of the spots of each of the plurality of keno cards.
- Claim:
16. The method of claim 12, which comprises randomly determining the quantity of activators.
- Claim:

The method of claim 12, which comprises, responsive to a physical item being received via a payment acceptor, establishing a credit balance based on a monetary value associated with the received physical item, and responsive to a cashout input being received, initiating a payout associated with the credit balance.

A method of operating a gaming system comprising a housing comprising an openable access door, a security monitoring circuit within the housing and configured to monitor the access door, a power distribution component within the housing, a plurality of mechanical input devices supported by the housing, a plurality of output devices comprising a display device supported by the housing and a speaker supported by the housing, a touch screen supported by the housing and associated with the display device, a sound card within the housing and operable with the speaker, a processor within the housing, and a trusted memory device within the housing, the method comprising: causing a display, via the display device, of a plurality of keno cards each comprising a plurality of spots; causing a display, via the display device, for each of the plurality of keno cards, of an indication of a plurality of player spots selected from the plurality of spots of that keno card, the quantity of player spots selectable via the touch screen; causing a display, via the display device, of a plurality of drawn spot indicators that each indicate one of the spots on each of the keno cards; causing a display, via the display device, of a triggering event occurring; causing a display, via the display device, of a quantity of activators respectfully associated with a quantity of spots of the plurality of keno cards, wherein the quantity of activators is at least two and the quantity of spots is at least two; causing a display, via the display device, of a quantity of extra spot indicators to each be associated with each of the activators, wherein the quantity of extra spot indicators is at least two; and causing a display, via the display device, for each keno card, of an indication of a quantity of the player spots of that keno card that match any of the drawn spot indicators and an indication of any spots on that keno card that are indicated by the extra spot indicator regardless of whether any of those spots are player spots.
- Claim:
19. The method of claim 18, wherein the quantity of extra spot indications is based on a displayed accumulated quantity of extra spot indicators.

The method of claim 18, which comprises, responsive to a physical item being received via a payment acceptor, establishing a credit balance based on a monetary value associated with the received physical item, and responsive to a cashout input being received, initiating a payout associated with the credit balance.
