      The present invention relates to a protein food composition having low calories and a high bioabsorption rate, and to a method for providing diet information using same. The food composition according to one aspect of the present invention contains a protein having a high bioabsorption rate while having low calories, and contains a protein in an amount in a specific range, and thus enables a nutritionally balanced diet that can also prevent muscle loss, which is one of adverse side effects of weight loss. Accordingly, when ingesting the food composition according to the method of providing diet information according to one aspect of the present invention, obese patients who need weight control, including patients suffering from obesity, metabolic syndrome, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, knee osteoarthritis, and diabetes can lose weight while minimizing adverse side effects, such as muscle loss and changes in blood pressure.

A low-calorie protein and high bioabsorption rate food composition which is provided to a subject, wherein the food composition is packaged in one package unit, the one package is composed of 20 to 400 kcal, and wherein the food composition comprises 1.5 to 6% by weight of carbohydrate, 15 to 66% by weight of protein, and 1 to 2% by weight of fat based on a total weight of the composition.

The composition according to claim 1, wherein the food composition is an very-low calorie food that provides 3 to 15 kcal per day per 1 kg of the subject's ideal body weight, wherein the food composition comprises a carbohydrate content of 0.13 to 0.3 g per 1 kg of the ideal body weight, a protein content of 0.76 to 1.725 g per 1 kg of the ideal body weight, a lipid content of 0.03 to 0.075 g per 1 kg of the ideal body weight, wherein the protein contains 11 or more amino acids while containing an essential amino acid ratio of 50% or more based on a total amino acid content, contains branched amino acids, and wherein the food composition comprises vitamin D or omega 3 as a muscle loss prevention nutrient.

      3. The composition according to claim 2, wherein the composition further comprises beta hydroxymethylbutyrate (HMB) as the muscle loss prevention nutrient.

      4. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition further comprises one or more selected from the group consisting of a dietary fiber; and a mixture of other vitamins and minerals as a micronutrient.

The composition according to claim 9, wherein the first period and the second period are consecutive periods of periods from a start date of providing the food composition to any one week from 3rd week to 32nd week, wherein the first period is from the start date of providing the food composition to any one week from 1st week to 12th week, and wherein the second period is from a next day of an end date of the first period to any one week from 3rd week to 32nd week based on the start date of providing the food composition.

The composition according to claim 1, wherein the food composition is provided in a (1) weight loss phase and a (2) weight loss maintenance phase, wherein in a case that the (1) weight loss phase consists of consecutive first, second and third periods, three meals a day are provided with the food composition during the first period, two meals a day are provided with the food composition during the second period, and one meal a day is provided with the food composition during the third period, wherein in the (2) weight loss maintenance phase, two meals a month are provided with the food composition, and the (2) weight loss maintenance phase is for any one period of 1 to 24 months, wherein the first period, the second period and the third period are consecutive periods from the start date of providing the food composition to any one week from 12th week to 48th week, wherein the first period is from the start date of providing the food composition to any one week from 2nd week to 12th week, wherein the second period is from a next day of an end date of the first period to any one week from 6th week to 21st week based on the start date of providing the food composition, wherein the third period is from a next day of an end date of the second period to any one week from 12th week to 48th week based on the start date of providing the food composition.

The composition according to claim 12, wherein in the (2) weight loss maintenance phase, if a body weight increases by 2 kg or more, two meals a day are provided with the food composition for 2 weeks per month, and if the body weight increases by 4 kg or more, two meals a day are provided with the food composition for 3 or 4 weeks per month.

      14. The composition according to claim 9, wherein the food composition is provided with low-fat milk or soy milk.
