Literatura y antropología: Conrad describe la colonización europea en África

En el siguiente texto, se trata de exponer brevemente la imagen del ser humano que se desprende de la lectura de El corazón de las tinieblas de Joseph Conrad. Así, y siguiendo las directrices saidianas de la lectura en clave contrapuntística, el análisis antropológico apunta en dos direcciones: en primer lugar, la imagen deteriorada de un ser humano afectado por la brutalidad y la mentira derivadas de la ocupación colonial europea en el Congo belga; en segundo lugar, la posibilidad siempre presente de superar esta situación negativa mediante un esfuerzo profundo de comprensión. Al fin y al cabo, un juego de luces y sombras omnipresente en el relato.
In the following text, the objective is to briefly explain the image of human being`s which comes from the reading of Joseph Conrad`s The heart of darkness. Therefore, and following the saidian rules for a counterpoint lecture, our antropological study points two ways: on the one hand, the damaged image of a human being affected by brutality and lie which come from european colonial occupation of belgian Congo; on the other hand, the everlasting chance of passing through this negative situation by a huge comprehension effort. In the end, an omnipresent light-andshadow fight.
