نبذة مختصرة : On April 28, 2025, a large-scale power outage occurred across the Iberian Peninsula and parts of southern France, seriously affecting local social production and people's normal lives. Based on publicly available data from the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) and Gridradar monitoring data, this paper reviews the process of this power outage accident and explores its possible causes. The analysis is approached from three dimensions: (1) the reasons behind the tripping of new energy units before the outage, (2) the factors leading to the power grid disconnection in Spain following the accident, and (3) the causes of the subsequent grid collapse in Spain. The conclusion outlines the future focal points for Chinese suppliers of equipment and system solutions for power grids with a high new energy penetration, based on the actual situation of China's power grids, with the primary goal of ensuring safe and stable system operation.
