نبذة مختصرة : Objectives The aim of this article is to justify the need for further deep scientific reflection and empirical research on the issues of cultural and social consequences of the excessive presence of Poles on the Internet and to provide the author's recommendations regarding daily time management using the functions of planning, organizing, self-motivation and control. Material and methods The article is of a theoretical and discussion nature, therefore non-reactive methods were selected for research. It was a desk research method, consisting in the analysis of secondary sources and the analysis of the content of written and oral messages disseminated via the media. The descriptive analysis method was also used. Results The obtained results confirm the thesis about the increasing dominance of the virtual dimension in the lives of Poles to the detriment of activities in the real world. Conclusions Cyberspace management should become the subject of research interest of representatives of various scientific disciplines. The authors of this article propose the use of the following functions: planning, organizing, self-motivation, control. Changes should also be introduced in education at the primary school level, not only in terms of lessons in digital law and Internet safety, but also the length of time spent online and the risks associated with it. For adult Internet users, courses and training in this field at workplaces will be useful.
