نبذة مختصرة : The aim of this research is to present the dialectic of postmodern Kurdish painting and body art as an example. To what extent does the recipient have a creative role in body art? The second question is: Do some pieces show different styles from Kurdish postmodern art? This is followed by its importance, purpose, limitations, and definitions. The second part explains concepts of reception theory such as the interaction between the text and the reader, the horizon of expectation, gaps, and aesthetic gaps, as well as the role of the future in postmodern art. Also referred to are body art performances by Kurdish artists, which have different styles that create an active and substantial dialectic between the visual text and the recipient. In the expectation horizon concept, the messages are somewhat vague and clear, so it sometimes requires the recipient to have an informed cultural background. The recipient also seeks discovery and interpretation to fill it, and sometimes many questions arise, but the aesthetic gap between two visual texts is a clear, unique, and indisputable dimension.
