Arquitectura para la euforia colectiva

The Architecture for the Collective Euphoria, is a utopian proposal of architecture for the city from the city itself, inspired by areas in which urbanism does not traditionally develop; the circus and the entertainment industry. It seeks to make visible the latinamerican social behaviour, of celebration and agglomeration, which promotes dynamics of union, exchange, mingling, and citizen coexistence, around festive practices. The project is inspired by the ideals of progress of Los Mártires, in Bogotá, formerly associated with the Estación de la Sabana and today, with Orange Economy proposals; a development model that promotes the importance of creativity and cultural diversity, through visual and performing arts, creative and cultural industries and new digital medias. By fusing circus and architecture, desirable and replicable experiences are facilitated, transforming the ordinary into extraordinary, through contemporary media, impossible narratives, and sensory experiences. The project seeks to create alternative realities to the fixed, static and projected city, building an ephemeral staging, with structures that take over what exists and give the urban environment a party-like character. The value of the circus is exalted, from its itinerant and eventual nature, which makes it a mobile and ever-changing event. The metaphorical interpretation of this context, as an example of behavior, movement and social dynamism, translated into a parasitic and nomadic design proposal, which alludes to the itinerant concept of entertainment.
