KEARIFAN LOKAL MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGELOLAAN HUTAN DI DESA BARU KECAMATAN SILAT HILIR KABUPATEN KAPUAS HULU

Desa Baru is one of the Baru style villages of the nine villages within the Silat Hilir Kapuas Hulu sub-district. The Baru village has 2 sub-villages namely Mekar jaya sub-village 1 and Mekar jaya sub-village 2. Local wisdom is a policy that has been around for a long time and has been passed down from generation to generation by generations. This study aims to determine the form of local wisdom consisting of values, norms, ethics, beliefs, customs, customary laws and special rules as well as village history, community characteristics consisting of age, education, ethnicity, and occupation. The method used in this study is a survey method through interviews is descriptive. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique and to determine the number of samples using the Slovin formula. Respondents who have been collected from 2 hamlets are 37 people in Mekar Jaya 1 and 46 people in Mekar jaya 2. The results of this study indicate the importance of the role of local wisdom in forest management efforts to keep the forests in the Baru Village preserved for the future. which will come.the characteristics of the community consisting of various ages, education, ethnicity and occupation are unique separately for the people in Baru Village in managing forest on social life.Keywords: Baru village, forest Management, local wisdomAbstrakKearifan lokal merupakan sebuah kebijakan yang sudah ada sejak dulu dan diwarisi secara turun temurun oleh masyarakat dari generasi ke generasi berikutnya.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dari kearifan lokal yang terdiri dari nilai, norma, etika, kepercayaan, adat istiadat, hukum adat dan aturan-aturan khusus serta sejarah desa, Karakteristik masyarakat terdiri dari umur, pendidikan, suku, dan pekerjaan.
