نبذة مختصرة : Ticks are hematophagous ectoparasites of almost all vertebrates, including our pets, but also humans, who are accidental hosts. During their blood meal, they can transmit pathogens responsible for infectious diseases, which specifically can affect humans. It is therefore in the public health interest to treat our pets. The first part of this work presents these parasites from a morphological and reproductive point of view, as well as their interactions with their environment. In- depth knowledge of ticks means we can better control them and prevent the spread of pathogenic vectors. The second part outlines the therapeutic arsenal available to pharmacists for treating pets, detailing galenic forms, the different therapeutic families and their component molecules. An exhaustive list of veterinary drugs authorized in France for curative or preventive tick control is then compiled, broken down by molecule and galenic form. The final section highlights the pharmacist's role as a public health actor in terms of prevention and advice. In recent years, new tools have been made available to pharmacists to help them fight more effectively against the mites frequently encountered in our region.
