نبذة مختصرة : This study examines the spatial and temporal disparities in housing insecurity across the contiguous United States during the pandemic using GIS, spatial statistics and regression models with aggregated Household Pulse Survey data. It reveals complex patterns, with early pandemic stages showing notable increases in insecurity, particularly in the south, while the Midwest and west were less affected. Factors such as COVID-19 cases, unemployment rates and state-level unemployment benefit policies significantly influenced housing insecurity. The research highlights how the pandemic's impact varied with housing affordability, race and poverty levels, underscoring the need for region-specific policy interventions.
