The aim of this report is to expose the extension actions developed in the period from 2020 to 2022. In summary, news are published on the blog Cariri Transparente, which, since its creation, has 169 posts, more than 10,000 views and 4,340 visitors; promotes the realization of tax education courses in elementary and high schools of the CRAJUBAR perimeter, in addition to annual participation in the realization of the Seminars of Fiscal Education of Cariri. Social control and fiscal education are instruments for the exercise of citizenship, relating to the individual’s participation in society, monitoring and supervising government actions, in order to solve problems, ensuring that their rights are not violated and fulfilling their duties. In this sense, the extension program “Conscious Cariri: knowledge transforms the citizen”, linked to the Pro-rectory of Extension of the Federal University of Cariri, State of Ceará, Brazil, aims to encourage the social control of the Caririense population. Therefore, it is perceived that the Program contributes to awakening citizens about their role in the supervision of public entities, improving their services and reducing social inequalities. ; El control social y la educación fiscal son instrumentos para el ejercicio de la ciudadanía, relacionados con la participación del individuo en la sociedad, el seguimiento y la supervisión de las acciones gubernamentales, con el fin de resolver problemas, garantizar que sus derechos no sean violados y cumplir con sus deberes. En este sentido, el programa de extensión "Cariri Consciente: el conocimiento transforma al ciudadano", vinculado a la Prorrectoría de Extensión de la Universidad Federal de Cariri (PROEX/UFCA), tiene como objetivo fomentar el control social de la población caririense.
