نبذة مختصرة : This study aimed to determine the teaching effectiveness of teachers as perceived by respondents and how it affects students’ academic performance at Piñan National High School, Piñan District, Schools Division of Zamboanga del Norte, during the school year 2023–2024. A descriptive-correlational research method was employed. Frequency count, percentage, weighted mean, standard deviation, and Spearman Rank-Order Correlation Coefficient (Spearman rho) were the statistical tools used, with Jamovi as the statistical software. A total of 315 respondents participated in the study. The findings revealed that the perceived level of teaching effectiveness was high, while the level of students’ academic performance was rated as very satisfactory. A significant, albeit small/low, positive correlation was found between the levels of teaching effectiveness and students’ academic performance.
