نبذة مختصرة : This article presents contributions from the sign language literature; It is a descriptive background review regarding studies on literary production in sign language, with a look of recognition and value to the creations from the language itself. The main objective was to collect literature studies in sign language. The methodology used was documentary, which consisted of the collection and review of research that allowed the identification of two trends: literature in Sign Language and Deaf Literature. The review also establishes that in previous research there is a strong interest in literary productions in Sign Language, but research is still ongoing, from the point of view of the dominant oral language, in translation, adaptation and interpretation of literary texts that are written in the official language of the country. There are literary productions in Colombian Sign Language by deaf people, which need to be recognized from the field of literature. ; Este artículo presenta contribuciones de la literatura en lengua de señas; es una revisión descriptiva de antecedentes frente a estudios sobre producción literaria en lengua de señas, con una mirada de reconocimiento y valor a las creaciones desde la lengua misma. El objetivo principal fue recopilar estudios de literatura en lengua de señas. La metodología utilizada fue documental, que consistió en la recolección y revisión de investigaciones que permitieron identificar dos tendencias: literatura en Lengua de Señas y Literatura Sorda. La revisión también establece que en investigaciones anteriores hay un fuerte interés por las producciones literarias en Lengua de señas, pero todavía se sigue investigando, desde la mirada de la lengua oral dominante, en traducción, adaptación e interpretación de textos literarios que están escritos en la lengua oficial del país. Existen producciones literarias en Lengua de Señas Colombiana por sordoseñantes, que requieren ser reconocidas desde el campo de la literatura.
