Pengaruh Peran Teman Sebaya dan Orang Tua Terhadap Persepsi Pengendalian Perilaku Seksual pada Remaja Kota Palembang

Sexual violence is a problem that continues to increase every year, based on the World Health Organization in 2024 that around 120 million adolescent girls have become victims of sexual violence. This study aims to analyze the influence of the role of peers and the role of parents on the perception of controlling sexual behavior in adolescents in Palembang City. This research design uses cross sectional method with cluster random sampling technique, a sample of 313 students in Palembang City was selected. Independent variables are the role of peers and the role of parents, while the dependent variable is the perception of behavior control with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using Univariate and Bivariate, where in bivariate analysis using correlation test. The results of this study indicate that the most respondents are female, namely 55.5%, the most students 39.3% in class XII high school, the most respondents' age is 17 years old as much as 35.1%, the most living status is respondents who live with parents / family 82.4% and respondents have received socialization about preventing sexual violence as much as 55.9%. The role of peers has a positive influence on the perception of sexual behavior control (p value = 0.000; r = 0.476), the higher the role of peers, the higher the perception of behavior control. The role of parents has a positive influence on the perception of sexual behavior control (p value = 0.000; r = 0.203), the higher the role of parents, the higher the perception of behavior control. The results showed that the role of peers and the role of parents have an influence on the perception of sexual behavior control in Palembang City adolescents.
