نبذة مختصرة : These items provide key data of the results presented in the manuscript of the study “ Permafrost ground ice anomaly driven by westerlies-induced climate wetting on the Tibetan Plateau ”. By leveraging state-of-the-art borehole observations, a physics-based permafrost model, and satellite-based ground deformation data, this study investigate the dynamics of near-surface ground ice from 1979 to 2018 acros the Tibetan Plateau, and explore the correlation with ground deformation and abrupt thaw development. This study offers a novel understanding of the ground ice dynamics in response to climate changes and has crucial implications for adaptation and mitigation of its negative impacts on local infrastructure, ecosystems, and permafrost carbon feedback.
