Análisis estructural de la situación actual posterior a la pandemia covid-19, de la banda de pueblo de la parroquia de Calpi, cantón Riobamba

This research paper analyzes the current situation of the village band of the parish of Calpi, canton Riobamba, after the Covid-19 pandemic. It was identified that the pandemic severely affected the band, which motivated a broader study on village bands, including their history, musical genres, and their cultural role. In addition, concepts of popular culture, cultural manifestations and the consequences of Covid-19, both in Ecuador and on local artists, are explored. The methodology employed was quantitative, using a scientific approach with descriptive, bibliographic, cross-sectional and field research. We worked with a sample of 15 members of the band and 40 inhabitants of the central neighborhood of the parish. A survey was applied as a data collection instrument. The results showed that the pandemic had a devastating impact, affecting both the economic activity of the band and the well-being of its members, since the cancellation of events and presentations compromised their livelihood. The findings highlight the need for the Calpi band to adopt new strategies to overcome the effects of the pandemic, such as encouraging self-care and exploring economic alternatives, including virtual concerts and product sales. It also stresses the importance of emotional and community support to mitigate the consequences of the pandemic on the musicians' health and economy. ; Este trabajo de investigación analiza la situación actual de la banda de pueblo de la parroquia de Calpi, cantón Riobamba, tras la pandemia de Covid-19.
