Nível de estresse de pais adolescentes de recém-nascidos internados em uma unidade de terapia intensiva neonatal ; Stress level of adolescent parents of newborns admitted to a neonatal intensive care unit

Method: Quantitative and cross-sectional study, with adolescent mothers/fathers of newborns admitted to the NICU, aged between 10 and 19 years, from May to October 2021. For data collection, the Brazilian version of the Parental Stress Scale: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (PSS: NICU) was used. The analysis was performed using the SPSS Statistics software, with measures of central tendency and dispersion. Results: The survey had nine participants, the subscale “Change in the role as mother/father” presented the highest stress level (mean=3,85), followed by “Baby’s appearance and behavior” (mean=2,63) and “Images and sounds” (mean=1,82). Conclusion: It was possible to identify the level of stress and which are the most stressful situations for adolescent parents, regarding the admission of a child in a ; Objetivo: Analisar o nível de estresse e identificar os fatores mais estressantes para os pais adolescentes de recém-nascidos internados em uma Unidade Terapia Intensiva Neonatal (UTIN). Método: Estudo de caráter quantitativo e transversal, com mães/pais adolescentes de recém-nascidos hospitalizados na UTIN, com faixa etária entre 10 e 19 anos, no período de maio a outubro de 2021. Para a coleta de dados utilizou-se a versão brasileira da Parental Stress Scale: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (PSS: NICU). A análise foi realizada por meio do programa estatístico SPSS Statistics, com medidas de tendência central e de dispersão.
