نبذة مختصرة : Chemistry teaching in high school faces considerable challenges due to the complexity of the content. The launch of the National Program of Civic-Military Schools (PECIM) in 2019 made it possible to popularize the experience of shared educational management between civilians and the military. These institutions are characterized by their discipline and traditional approach, which do not always promote maximum student engagement in complex content. The particularities of these institutions represent an excellent opportunity to apply new teaching methodologies, especially in the training of basic education teachers. The pedagogical intervention carried out focused on the practical connection between semiochemicals, chemical substances used in communication between organisms, and the insect Paederus irritans (Potó), known locally for causing dermatitis in humans. The choice of this example served to bring the theoretical subject closer to the students' daily lives, increasing the relevance of the content taught. The results suggest that the implementation of active methodologies, via applications such as Kahoot, can overcome the barriers to engagement and understanding found in traditional classes, evidencing notable improvements in learning. In addition to this integration of technology, the study reinforces the importance of approaching chemistry teaching in an innovative way, capable of capturing students' interest, especially in educational environments with more structured pedagogical and disciplinary structures. ; La enseñanza de la química en la escuela secundaria enfrenta desafíos considerables debido a la complejidad del contenido.
