Development of electronic book (E-book) on Neighboring Countries Language and Culture Course for first year students in Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University ; การพัฒนาหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ E-book รายวิชาภาษาและวัฒนธรรมเพื่อนบ้าน(ภาษาจีน) สำหรับนิสิตชั้นปีที่1 มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏบ้านสมเด็จเจ้าพระยา

The objectives of this research were to develop the electronic book (E-book) on Neighboring Countries Language and Culture Course, which was a course taken by first year students at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. Specifically, the goals were to have these students utilize the E-book within this context with an efficiency value of 80/80, to studied their achievements made via the electronic book, and to evaluate their overall satisfaction after using it. The researched group was chosen through purposive sampling and consisted of 70 freshman students who chose the Neighboring Countries Language and Culture Course at the beginning of the 2016 academic year. The instruments used in this study were as follows: Electronic book (E-book), Pre-test and Post-test and students’ satisfaction evaluation form. The data was analyzed by means of standard deviation (S.D.), reliability, difficulty, discriminative power, test and content analysis. The results achieved were as follows: the efficiency value (E1/E2) of the developed E-book was 81.38/82.50 which was higher than the expected maximum. This value indicated that developing the E-book was appropriate. The achievements of the students were based on the scores of Post-test which were 0.05 higher than Pre - test which corresponds to the hypothesis. The means by which the students’ satisfactions with the E-book was analyzed at 4.29 standard deviation at 0.72 which can be concluded as a good quality. The opinion of the students on the E-book helped users improve their proficiency in Chinese language.
