نبذة مختصرة : Information literacy is a process that helps on emancipation and critical thinking of students, which constitutes actions to locate, select, access, organize, use information and generate knowledge. This study intends to highlight how information literacy is applied in a school context of fundamental level and how the library is inserted in this context, The objective was to analyze the development of the LI in a private school in the city of Goiânia, resulting that there are no processes related to the LI yet and the library participation is still average in relation to the pedagogical activities. ; O Letramento Informacional é um processo que ajuda na emancipação e no pensar crítico dos estudantes, que constitui em ações de localizar, selecionar, acessar, organizar, usar informação e gerar conhecimento. Com este estudo pretendeu-se destacar como o letramento informacional é aplicado em um contexto escolar de nível fundamental e como a biblioteca está inserida neste contexto, o objetivo foi analisar o desenvolvimento do LI em uma escola particular no município de Goiânia, resultando que não há ainda processos ligados ao LI e a participação da biblioteca ainda é mediana em relação às atividades pedagógicas.
