نبذة مختصرة : The Plantations Labour Act of 1951 represents a pivotal piece of legislation aimed at regulating the working conditions and safeguarding the rights of labourers employed in plantations, including those in the tea industry. This research paper investigates the key provisions, and the implementation of the Plantations Labour Act in Assam, with a particular focus on the rights and welfare of tea plantation workers.
