S.F. ; Stagecoach Orchards ; Olive ; Blue ; Sky ; top edge trimmed off / Date stamped Aug 17 1948 ; Stagecoach Orchards ; Medford, (Or.) ; Gordon Green bought Charles Wing's orchard and facilities and developed this label. Wing's Old Stage no doubt was the inspiration for Stagecoach. Green started his career in Hood River with American Fruit Growers, the nationwide organization behind the Blue Goose label. He moved to Medford and evenually became the local manager for American Fruit Growers. Green can be credited with building AFG's business in Southern Oregon. The Stagecoach brand and packing house were later purchased by Bud Barnum whose wife was Gordon Green's neice. The original shed burned in the late 1950s. Stagecoach then leased the old Modoc packing house from Medford Ice which later burned in 1978. That fire ended the use of the Stagecoach brand even on cardboard.
