Dysphonia in children occurs mainly when starting school and has harmful consequences on the psychosocial, academic and personal levels and, in the longer term, a persistent vocal alteration that handicaps the individual in his communicative function. Today, general practitioners are the medical actors most represented among the pediatric population, they must therefore be able to identify a vocal alteration and refer the child to an ENT doctor or a phoniatrist. However, the vocal domain is little known and little referenced by doctors. The objective of this study is to evaluate the interest of distributing, among general practitioners, a brochure listing knowledge on pediatric dysphonia, with a view to better screening. To do this, a brochure was developed and then distributed to 17 general practitioners in Normandy with a questionnaire to collect data on the usefulness of this support as well as on their sensitivity to the voice during consultations. The results show that general practitioners consider negatively or neutrally the attention they pay to the child's voice and that the awareness-raising brochure is of real interest in terms of providing knowledge and potential change in their future behavior during consultations. However, the sample size does not allow generalization of the results. This study could therefore be repeated on a larger cohort. Or, le domaine vocal est peu connu ...
