نبذة مختصرة : Introduction: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is characterized by the progressive and irreversible loss of kidney function, affecting multiple dimensions of the lives of individuals undergoing renal replacement therapy. This study aimed to analyze the impacts of hemodialysis on the daily lives of women, based on their experiences, challenges, and coping strategies. Methods: This is a qualitative study conducted using the Photovoice method, in a public university hospital in the interior of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The participants captured aspects of their daily lives through photographs, which were later discussed in group settings. Data were analyzed based on meaning cores. Results: Eight women undergoing hemodialysis participated in the study, most of whom identified as Black or mixed-race. Their experiences revealed four central themes: redefinition of care; dietary adaptations; changes in work life; and interruptions or rediscoveries in leisure activities, highlighting significant transformations in their routines and identities. Discussion: The research revealed the multidimensional impacts of hemodialysis, especially on self-care, leisure practices, and work relationships, all mediated by gender roles, socioeconomic conditions, and resilience strategies.Conclusion: Hemodialysis profoundly affects women’s daily lives, requiring complex adaptations. The study underscores the importance of comprehensive care approaches that address biological, emotional, and social dimensions. It contributes to the field of Occupational Therapy by expanding the understanding of barriers and possibilities for social participation among women undergoing hemodialysis. Keywords: Women.
