Her research focuses on surface semiconducting barrier discharges, a type of plasma that propagates on a silicon surface. She aims to understand the physics behind this phenomenon, which has potential industrial applications. Ayah finds the PhD challenging, especially due to the difficulty of maintaining work-life balance.
