Estudo da problemática ambiental em área de mata ciliar no município de São Sepé/RS ; Importance of bush ciliar in the preservation of the rivers and the ambient education

Monografia (especialização) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Centro de Ciências Rurais, Curso de Especialização em Educação Ambiental, EaD, RS, 2011. ; The objective was to identify the riparian forest and the situation in relation to the environmental preservation of properties located along the creek Santa Barbara, bordering the municipalities of Sao Sepe and Cachoeira do Sul, located in the Central Depression of Rio Grande do Sul, a stretch of 20 km. Surveys were conducted on the properties, both in areas near the river, and in homes to facilitate contact and communication with the owners. Informal conversations have been established, measurements of the forests, surveys, assessment details to identify possible problems related to riparian vegetation and permanent preservation areas, mainly in response to environmental legislation, specifically the Forest Code. Several factors analyzed as an extension of the riparian forest, tree species that make up the forest in local animal species benefit from the maintenance of the forest area (mainly mammals), the points of greatest problem with the lack of forests, erosion and loss of ravines along the river, stratification and quantification of the properties involved and also the regularization of properties on the environmental permit for the activities they perform. The data obtained are of paramount importance to the process of environmental education of the community involved, where a possible change of conduct or behavior may generate attitudes that accrue in solutions to improve the local environmental issue. ; Neste trabalho objetivou-se a identificação alguns problemas ambientais que ocorrem na mata ciliar de propriedades localizadas junto ao Arroio Santa Bárbara, divisa entre os municípios de São Sepé e Cachoeira do Sul, localizado na Depressão Central do Rio Grande do Sul, por uma extensão de 20 km.
