نبذة مختصرة : Occupation is at the core of the profession’s philosophy and occupation-centered practice is the term applied when occupation is at the core of occupational therapy practice. This chapter will critically explore the terms occupation-centered, occupation-based, and occupation-focused which are often used in literature and practice. Theoretical and research-based evidence will be discussed to demonstrate how occupational therapy can be made more occupation-centered. This will include changes that can be made by individual occupational therapists, workplaces, and professional bodies.
