نبذة مختصرة : International audience ; In this work, we propose a spatial wavelet-based method to solve the M/EEG inverse problem. Using a variational formulation on the spatial wavelet coefficients associated with the original sources to reconstruct, our approach involves penalization that promotes sparsity in the spatial wavelet domain. We propose a construction of spatial wavelet bases defined on the cortical surface, inspired by [5]. A motivation for such penalizations originates from image processing, where it is known that 1 penalization of wavelet coefficients promotes "cartoon"-type behavior on reconstructed images, which may be physiologically relevant for the considered application. Preliminary results of a realistic simulation study in the context of auditory evoked potentials are discussed.
