BASIC GEOPROCESSING FOR ARCHAEOLOGISTS Geomorphological Descriptive Memorial of Sítio Morumbi, São Paulo ; Geoprocessamento básico para arqueólogos: memorial descritivo geomorfológico do Sítio Morumbi, São Paulo

This technical report discusses the Geographic Information System (GIS) in archeology due to the fact that the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute (IPHAN) requires files in the shapefile format in the National Register of archaeologist from GIS software. The software used will be: Global Mapper® and the Google Earth® program. The descriptive memorial with geomorphological indicators taken from the Global Mapper® software is a way to demonstrate the effective archaeological potential of areas to be explored and possibly excavated in the field work of archaeologists. ; Este relatório técnico discorre sobre o Sistema de Informação Geográfica (SIG) em arqueologia, pelo fato do Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN) exigir arquivos no formato shapefile no Cadastro Nacional de Sítios Arqueológicos (CNSA), requerendo de arqueólogos conhecimento e manipulação de softwares SIG. O software utilizado será: Global Mapper® e o programa Google Earth®. O memorial descritivo com indicadores geomorfológicos retirados do software Global Mapper® é uma forma de demonstrar o efetivo potencial arqueológico de áreas à serem prospectadas e possivelmente escavadas no trabalho de campo de arqueólogos.
