نبذة مختصرة : The Indian, nineteen fifteen *Portrait of a man with dark hair and a mustache in a dark suit and tie* Ansel Augustus Tyler, A.M., Ph.D. Professor of Biology. Dean of the College. A.B. (Lafayette) 1892; A.M. (ibid.) 1895; Ph.D. (Columbia) 1897. Bellevue College, 1900. Some people are born learned, some achieve learning and some have learning thrust upon them. Dr. Tyler belongs to the first class. It is hard to imagine that he ever was as green as a Freshman of as Sophomore as a Sophomore. To be in his classes is a liberal education. Wears a Phi Beta Keppa key. *Portait of a dark-haired woman in a light blouse* Minnie Luella Carter, Ph.B. Professor of German. Dean of Women. Ph.B. (Oberlin) 1898; travel and study in Germany, summer, 1906; (University of Chi- cago) summer quarters, 1907-1910; (Universi- ties of Berlin and Heidelberg) 1911-1912. Belle- vue College, 1907. A woman of high ideals and lofty aim. Her earnest desire has been to inspire a higher culture in the minds and hearts of Bellevue College women. She plays tennis, is interested in things forensic, and can make hot chocolate better than anyone on the hill. Her one fault is her leniency with the evil ways of Prof. Puls. *Portrait of a man with glasses, dark hair and a mustache, and wearing a dark suit* Oscar Schmiedel, A.M. Professor of Mathematics. B.S. (Bethany) 1886; A.M. (ibid.) 1888; (Harvard) 1891; (Johns Hopkins) 1895-1896. Bellevue College, 1905. The wisest funny man we know. His is the terror of all young students and the idol of all the old. The observed of all observers. The adored of all adorers, Oscar Schmiedel has a heart of pure molten gold. Page seventy
