نبذة مختصرة : Parents' perceptions of the meeting with Child Health Nurse A survey study Background: All children are entitled to a fair and equal Child Health Care with a focus on the best possible physical, mental and social health. The Child Health Nurse must encounter each family and try to create an alliance together with the parents. Family-centred care can increase the opportunities for cooperation with the parents. Purpose: The purpose was to elucidate parents' perceptions of the meeting with the Child Health Nurse with focus on trust, information, participation and the nurses caring approach. Method: Data were collected using a web-based survey and analysis of collected material was done using the IBM SPSS Statistics version 26 computer program, with Chi2-analyses. Results: The results showed that parents have a positive view of the meeting with the Child Health Nurse. One significant difference emerged; parents with lower education considered the Child Health Nurse more comforting than parents with higher education. Conclusion: Parents have a positive view of the meeting with the Child Health Nurse and feel that they have been involved, had the opportunity to ask questions and received information that they understood, which is central to family-centered nursing and furthermore important to establish a good relationship to the parents.
