نبذة مختصرة : The graduation thesis deals with the problems of preparing cooling water for the Acroni steel plant. The biggest problem is the pollution of cooling water with sludge, small micro elements. This problem is the consequence of heavy showers, especially in spring and autumn time, when the brook Javornik and the river Sava Dolinka, which are the sources for cooling water, become polluted. The second biggest problem is the formation of scale, especially at open secondary system of electro arc furnace. For the tranquil operation of separate systems at Steel plant this is very disturbing, therefore some guidelines for solving the problems of each case are suggested.
Diplomsko delo opisuje problematiko priprave hladilne vode za Jeklarno v podjetju Acroni d.o.o.. Največji problem je onesnaženost hladilne vode z muljem oziroma majhnimi mikronskimi delci. Ta problem je posledica močnih nalivov, predvsem spomladi in jeseni, ko se onesnažita potok Javornik in reka Sava Dolinka, iz katerih se napaja hladilna voda za Jeklarno. Drugi največji problem je nastanek vodnega kamna, predvsem na odprtem sekundarnem sistemu Elektro Obločne Peči. Oboje je za nemoteno delovanje posameznih sistemov v Jeklarni zelo moteče, zato so v diplomskem delu predlagane smernice k rešitvam za posamezni primer.
