نبذة مختصرة : This article discusses how has been developed and / or how could been done to prepare for adoption of children institutionalized in legal analysts view the 1st Court of Childhood and Youth of Belem. Participants were fi ve social workers, two psychologists, two educators and a sociologist. C. 318 of children living in institutions can contribute in many ways to be successful adoption, particularly to prevent or minimize the feeling of fear due to the need to adapt to a new family context. The participants, mostly declared don`t feel qualifi ed to act in the preparation of children as the law governing 12.010/2009. They argue that the statutory requirement of preparing children generated a new demand in professional terms, which may be hindering the development of appropriate methodological strategy to interdisciplinary work with the integrated performance of the judiciary organs and host institutions. In this research, the preparation was recognized as a conjugate of interventional strategies that should allow the child to visualize why and how it would be safe to live in another family. Among the most frequently cited responses, in addition to interdisciplinary teamwork, preparation concomitantly of parents and children for adoption, the domain of information to guide them in this process, and procedures aimed at the involvement of children and their life stories through play.
