- نبذة مختصرة :
The article examines the sociological ambivalence of Orthodox Jews, the blend of hostility, and rapport which is built into the very structure of interpersonal relations. The paper also tries to trace the factors accounting for this sociological ambivalence. It was claimed that sociological ambivalence is a blend of hostility and rapport built into the very structure of social relations, and embedded in particular statuses and social positions. The more pronounced the distinctions between inner and outer identity within the status, the more important that status is to one's sense of self. The more one remains personally bound to that status, the stronger will be the ambivalence characterizing the internal relations in the status group.
