- نبذة مختصرة :
The article examines the declining trends in the U.S. agricultural sector as of August 1936. Projected as a lean agricultural year, 1936 posted a drop of 42 percent in feed grain average prompting the government to import food while the Midwest incurred severe losses due drought. Based on the Crop Reporting Board's appraisal of farm conditions, the drought has had the worst effect on corn crops whose target production was reduced by 35.8 percent from July to August. Crop failure has been declared for oats, barley, and livestock feed.
