      The article presents the author's views on sheltering of the Hurricane Katrina evacuees. The author witnessed a huge crowd of hungry and tired people waiting to enter a building at Kelly Air Force Base. Working at shelters provided sanitarians with an opportunity to be noticed by the people there and to shine. For various concerns including food service operations, restroom, shower, handwashing facilities, etc., it was the sanitarian whom people came to for answers.
