نبذة مختصرة : The current research aims to identify the effects of the wrong assessment of people with disabilities, from the point of view of parents in the Medina region; The research used the apparent qualitative approach, and used the method of semi-structured individual interviews, and the research sample consisted of five parents of students with disabilities, whose children had previously been evaluated wrongly. The results of the research resulted in many results, including: assessing the child in a category other than the disability categories, to which he belongs, and thus placing the child in an inappropriate place; To rehabilitate this child, and this happened due to the results of the improper evaluation. As for the psychological effects of the wrong evaluation on the family, it was shock, frustration, psychological fatigue, fear of the future, and fear of society's reaction, With regard to the material effects of the wrong assessment on the family, it included the presence of pressures, burdens, and significant financial effects as a result of the diagnosis, and the wrong assessment from the point of view of the mothers of children with disabilities, and with regard to the effects of the wrong assessment on the child, it was the emergence of some abnormal behaviors, as well as shyness, some social problems, Among the serious effects, some children take medication; Based on the wrong evaluation - especially if these psychiatric drugs have serious side effects, or the child has taken them for a long time, and in large doses, and in light of the results, the research reached a number of recommendations, including: The concerned authorities in the Kingdom shall follow up and continuously monitor the civil centers working in the field of disability, or those providing diagnostic and evaluation services.
