The article comments on a study by Veronica Garrison and colleagues on Housing Quality Dimensions (HQD) at the neighborhood level and the population health in the U.S. Topics include the many ways in which housing and health are related such as the link of eviction to poor child health outcomes, the association between higher HQD scores and poor self-rated health, poor physical health and poor mental health, and variation across the U.S. in HQD found in the study.
