O MUŠKÁTOCH, O MRAVCOCH, O JARABINÁCH -- O HAIKU! (Czech)

The main focus of the monograph "About Mosquitoes, Ants, and Jarabins: The Slovak Variant of Haiku" by Eva Urbanová is the exploration of Slovak haiku as a specific variant of Japanese haiku, which has appeared in Western countries, including Slovakia, since the second half of the 20th century. The author has been engaged with the issue of haiku for more than fifteen years and in this work analyzes how Slovak poetry copes with this Oriental genre, which is based on a different philosophical perception of the world. Urbanová focuses on genre-related questions and the transformation of haiku in the context of Slovak literature, critically evaluating various attempts at its adaptation and experimentation with form. Autorka se více než patnáct let věnuje problematice haiku a v této práci analyzuje, jak se slovenská poezie vyrovnává s tímto orientálním žánrem, který je založen na odlišném filozofickém vnímání světa. Urbanová se zaměřuje na genologické otázky a transformaci haiku v kontextu slovenské literatury, přičemž kriticky hodnotí různé pokusy o jeho adaptaci a experimentování s formou.
