- نبذة مختصرة :
In this article, the author explains some of the technology behind using ion exchange resins for drug delivery. The author describes the structure, manufacturing, mode of action, loading and characterization of these mysterious multifunctional excipients. Ion exchange resins can be described quite simply as insoluble polyelectrolytes. They are insoluble polymers that contain ionizable groups distributed regularly along the polymer backbone. The most common resins used in formulations are cross-linked polystyrene and polymethacrylate polymers.
