An autobiography is a series of stories that spans the author's life. Each story is a slice of life, which is a scene or memory that shows something about who you are or what you have experienced. Writing a life story can be like making a movie. As a writer, the film is in the author's mind's eye. The author creates a slice of life when you search for and record a memory that tells something about your inner nature. Later, the author can splice together those slices to create an autobiography.
