      The article deals with the problem of violence against teenagers in secondary schools, the causes and conditions of its occurrence. The analysis of scientific views of scientists from different fields of knowledge on the problem of violence in the environment of adolescents is presented. Attention is paid to the psychological, pedagogical, social, legal aspects of the problem under study. Different approaches to defining the concept of "violence" are considered. It is emphasized that «violence» is a negative phenomenon, which is aimed at causing physical, psychological or moral harm to another person, in order to intimidate and instill a feeling of fear. The results of a survey of adolescent violence are presented. The survey showed that school is the place where teenagers are most often confronted with the negative attitude and bullying of classmates, peers, and to a lesser extent - high schoolers. The results show that violence is most often manifested in the form of physical, verbal abuse, moral oppression and other forms. It is confirmed that the younger the teenager is the more often he or she gets into situations of physical and mental abuse. Possibilities of overcoming violent actions among teenage students are revealed. Attention is drawn to the fact that working to combat violence among adolescents requires effective ways to prevent it. The peculiarities of social pedagogical work to prevent manifestations of violence between teenagers in school are analyzed. It is argued that the purpose of preventing violence against adolescents requires a clear, focused and coordinated work of a social teacher and police. It has been proved that the program of the educational project "Try it out in safety" is an effective way to prevent violence among teenage children. Necessary components of the program are lessons on the prevention of asocial behavior with the basics of legal knowledge. Classes involve overcoming uncertainty, correcting negative self-beliefs, learning constructive ways of behavior in conflict situations of school life. The findings raise an important problem in addressing violence among adolescent children, which is relevant for research in the field of social pedagogical science.
