      The present work had as general objective to use the software Microsoft Excel in the approach of the initial concepts of the function of the 1st and 2nd degree. In order to reach the objectives, a bibliographical review was made about the teaching of the function of the first and second grades in the 9th grade of Elementary School, about the use of technology in the teaching of mathematics. It was also analyzed two textbooks from two different publishers. As methodological techniques: the descriptive and exploratory research, the procedures the research is bibliographic and the case study, as the approach to the problem the research was qualitative. A didactic sequence was built that had as its general objective: to enable skills in the study of the function of the first and second degree. Using Excel software, as a possibility to encourage students motivating them to search for mathematical knowledge, and arouse in the mathematics teacher the search for new methodology in the classroom. As the research expects the teacher to realize that technology is a way of attracting the student, arousing the interest of the class for teaching mathematics especially for teaching the functions of the first and second grade, however technology can be inserted. on several math subjects. ; O presente trabalho teve como objetivo geral utilizar o software Microsoft Excel na abordagem dos conceitos iniciais de função do 1º e 2º grau. Para alcançar os objetivos foi feito uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o ensino de função do primeiro e segundo grau no 9° ano do Ensino Fundamental, sobre o uso da tecnologia no ensino da Matemática, foi analisado também dois livros didáticos de duas editoras diferentes. Como técnicas metodológicas: a pesquisa descritiva e exploratória, aos procedimentos a pesquisa é bibliográfica e o estudo de caso, quanto a abordagem do problema a pesquisa foi de caráter qualitativo.
