      The study aimed to identify the variables associated with the transition from online (virtual) classes to face-to-face classes during the first week of returning to the classroom after the health emergency caused by COVID-19. In the cross-sectional study, socioeconomic, socioemotional, and attitudinal variables were analyzed in students from High School No.9 of the Autonomous University of Guerrero, Mexico, based on the descriptive-correlational approach. 58 male and 86 female students participated. The applied tests were the odds ratio (OR) and chi-square, starting from of the use of the SPSS 25 Software, finding higher significancy in the low schooling of parents (p=,000), sharing cellular phones during virtual classes (p=.000), family economic problems (p=.000), deficient internet signal (p=.001), having a paid job (p=.002), the head of the household did not have a fixed salary (p=.012), living outside of the city limits (p=.044). With respect to sex, the percentage of differentiation of the socioemotional variables was analyzed: moodiness, anxiety, boredom, restlessness, tiredness, and sadness. In addition, the analysis of variance (ANOVA) was made on the student attitude (1. strongly agree or agree; 2. neither agree or disagree, and 3. disagree or strongly disagree) in face of the pandemic, we found variants between groups 1 and 3, regarding the opinions: males and females must share responsibilities, prioritizing support for females to continue studying, and when a family member gets sick it is preferable for a female to give care, a similar situation reported by González and Cuenca (2022), where women were more prone to doing household chores.
