Educação estatística : uma proposta de ensino para a educação básica

O ensino de Estatística na Educação Básica constitui-se um desafio na Licenciatura em Matemática, bem como para os professores que já estão inseridos no mercado de trabalho. Segundo os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCNs), publicados a partir de 1997 pelo Ministério da Educação, a Estatística está incluída na disciplina de Matemática. Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar uma sequência didática que sirva como subsídio para o ensino de noções de probabilidade, tanto no enfoque clássico, como no enfoque frequentista. Foi realizada uma breve revisão sobre a história da estatística e da probabilidade e quando houve a união destas duas ciências, convergindo para o que conhecemos hoje em dia por estocástica. Os PCNs, o Tratamento de Informação, o letramento estatístico, a estocástica e a alfabetização funcional foram comentados na revisão de literatura. A sequencia didática apresentada partiu de um jogo de dados chamado O jogo “7 da sorte”. A proposta de ensino sugeriu a divisão da turma em doze grupos, que com a participação efetiva e colaborativa de toda a turma, fazendo o lançamento de dois dados, trezentas vezes, mediante regras definidas. Na proposta a seguir o professor apresenta resultados de um milhão de arremessos de dois dados, simulados por meio do software Winstats. A partir desta situação foram construídos os conceitos de espaço amostral, evento impossível, probabilidade clássica e probabilidade no enfoque frequentista. ; The teaching of Statistics in Pre-tertiary education is a challenge in Licentiate Degree of Mathematics, as well to teachers which are inserted in job market. According to the National Curricular Parameters (PCN’s), published since 1997 by Ministry of Education, the Statistics is included in Mathematics’ subject. This monograph aims to present a didactical sequence that serves as a subsidy for the teaching of basic notions of probability, both in classic and frequentist approach. It was performed a brief revision about the history of statistics and probability and when occurred the union of this two sciences, converging to which is known nowadays by statistics. The PCN’s, the information processing, the statistical literacy as well the stochastic and functional literacy was remembered in this revision. From the presented didactical sequence, it was developed a dice game called “The lucky seven” game. The teaching proposal indicates the class division in twelve groups, in with the effective and collaborative participation of all the class play two dices, three hundred times, through defined rules. Next, the teacher presents the results after one million rolls, simulated by Winstats software. After this situation, there were introduced notions of sample space, impossible event, classic probability and frequentist probability.
