This article analyzes two manuscript atlases of Gabriele Merelli, dedicated to Sicily and unknown to Spanish historiography. The first one, currently unpublished, is dedicated to Viceroy Anielo de Guzmán Marquis of Castel Rodrigo. Its genesis has been reconstructed in relation to the institutional-political context of war events of the revolt of Messina (1674-1678). This atlas is compared to a second one by the same author dated several months later and donated to the Viceroy Juan José de Austria. ; En este artículo se analizan dos atlas manuscritos de Gabriele Merelli, dedicados a Sicilia y desconocidos para la historiografía española. Del primero, hasta hoy inédito, dedicado al virrey Anielo de Guzmán, marqués de Castel Rodrigo, se ha reconstruido su génesis en relación con el contesto político-institucional de los acontecimientos bélicos de la revuelta de Messina (1674-1678); al mismo tiempo, se pone en relación con el segundo atlas de este mismo autor, fechado algunos meses después y que fue donado al virrey Juan José de Austria
