    • نبذة مختصرة :
Numerous studies where the importance of objective and subjective social interaction for children’s or adolescents’ personality development is analysed, can be found in the scientific literature. More and more attention has been paid to the connection between these variables lately: the significance of children’s personality characteristics on their contacts with significant others is also currently investigated. The aim of this study was to define the significance of adolescents’ developing personality-style on their subjectively experienced quality of contact with parents. Personality-styles are explored following Millon‘s theory (1996): personality- style can be found on a continuum with healthy personality and pathology in opposite ends. In relation to that, they either help in the individual‘s adaptation to social environment or block successful activities (Strack, 1999; Strack & Millon, 2007). Material and methods. Two measurement instruments were chosen: the modified Parental Nurturance Scale (Buri, Misukanis, Muller, 1989) and Personality Styles according to the T. Millon Scale (Urbonavičiūtė, 2006; Jonynienė, 2007). The participants in this research were 423 students from Kaunas City’s Secondary schools (184 boys and 239 girls). Results and conclusions. Multidimensional regression analysis showed a negative significance of the borderline, paranoid personalitystyles, and a positive influence of the narcissistic personality-style, on subjectively experienced quality of contact with parents in adolescents. Thus, the following conclusion was drawn: the stronger borderline and paranoid personality-styles, and the weaker narcissistic personality style the adolescent has, the more positive feelings (such as love, nurturance, emotional warmth, etc.) are experienced in contacts with the parents.[.].
