نبذة مختصرة : As the perception of paraffin wax has changed, so have the methods for determining the paraffin wax content, but there is still no consensus on the limit values for paraffin wax, which have a negative effect on the rheological properties and cold sensitivity of bitumen. The aim of this master thesis is to determine the influence of the content of natural paraffin wax on the rheological properties and cold sensitivity of bitumen, and the influence of added paraffin wax on the rheological properties of bitumen. In order to implement this aim, there is analyzed the marginal content of paraffin wax that affects the functioning of bitumen. The experience of foreign countries on the influence of added paraffin wax on the physical and functional properties of bitumen and asphalt is reviewed, and the methods of determining the paraffin wax content in bitumen. The study determines the content of paraffin wax in bitumen by Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy. The analysis of the results of the research determines the influence of the content of natural paraffin wax on the rheological properties and cold sensitivity of bitumen, as well as the effect of added paraffin wax on the rheological properties of bitumen. This master thesis includes 79 pages, 51 figures, 11 tables.
