Letramento para criança com Síndrome de Down: um caso clínico na Psicopedagogia

The article investigates the influence of literacy for learning and development of the childwith Down Syndrome(DS). In this study we search in a significant way, contribute to development of the child, having as a strategy the teoricpractices conceptions of Psychopedagogy. The general purpose was: Analysethe influence of Literacyacquisition to development and learningof child with DS. To achieve the purposed goal, we adopted the approach of a Participative research as methodology,with descriptive, exploratory and qualitative characteristics. Thereforea Participative observation and a report of a longitudinal case study were done. The research was conducted at Universidade Federal da Paraíba. The data collection had the following instruments: The treatments’logbook; The information data charts; Anamnesis and Sociodemographic questionary. The data were analyzed under the specifities of the table of errors and hitsfrom habilities of reading and writing. About the results, the child of the study showed an increasing performance getting more hits than mistakes. Therefore we can conclude that the literacy proved to be a alternative of learning for the child with DS, contributing to her development. ; O artigo investigaa influência do Letramento para a aprendizagem e desenvolvimento da criança com Síndrome de Down (SD).
