      This article analyzes an interventional practice in teaching socio-environmental issues in Youth and Adult Education (EJA) at the Colégio Estadual Polivalente de Castro Alves, Municipality of Castro Alves, Bahia. The research question was: what perception of local and global socio-environmental issues do students at EJA – Tempo Formativo III, Colégio Estadual Polivalente de Castro Alves, Bahia have? And how is socio-environmental issues included in the EJA curriculum at this school? Based on pedagogical intervention research based on Magda Damiani, pedagogical workshops were developed involving the relationship between man and the local and global environment, as well as analyzing the EJA written curriculum and students’ perception of socio-environmental issues. In general terms, the results demonstrated that students have a sometimes realistic and sometimes critical perception of the relationship between man and the environment, especially in terms of development and preservation of nature. Regarding the written school curriculum, it was observed that the socio-environmental theme is present, however, not always worked on in EJA classes, as evidenced by the intervention action on this theme through pedagogical workshops that enhanced students’ critical learning. ; Este artículo analiza una práctica intervencionista en la enseñanza de cuestiones socioambientales en la Educación de Jóvenes y Adultos (EJA) en el Colégio Estadual Polivalente de Castro Alves, Municipio de Castro Alves, Bahía.
